Anemone Wind Flower Mix – 50 Premium Anemone Corms
Add a touch of whimsy and vibrant color to your garden with 50 Anemone De Caen corms in a dazzling mix of colors. Known as “windflowers” for the way their delicate petals dance in the breeze, anemones produce poppy-like blooms in stunning shades of red, blue, purple, pink, and white with dramatic dark centers. This generous collection is perfect for borders, rock gardens, or mass plantings.
Planting Instructions: Soak anemone corms in lukewarm water for 2–4 hours before planting (they will double in size). Plant 2 inches deep and 3–4 inches apart with the pointed end down (or on their side if orientation is unclear). Plant in spring after the last frost in cold climates, or in fall in Zones 7–10 for spring blooms. Water well after planting.
Growing Conditions: Anemones thrive in full sun to partial shade with well-drained, humus-rich soil. Hardy in USDA Zones 7–10 as perennials; in colder zones, treat as annuals or mulch heavily. They prefer cool growing conditions and may go dormant in extreme heat. Anemones are deer-resistant and attract beneficial pollinators including bees and butterflies.
What to Expect: Anemone De Caen blooms approximately 8–10 weeks after planting, producing vivid, poppy-like flowers 2–3 inches across on 12–18 inch stems. Each corm produces multiple stems over a blooming period of 3–4 weeks. With 50 corms, expect a spectacular carpet of jewel-toned flowers that looks like an impressionist painting. Excellent cut flowers with a vase life of 5–7 days.
